Web technology is young.
Google turned 13 this past week and YouTube is only six years old! It seems like it’s been with us forever.
Isn’t it amazing how Google has become a verb?
I remember the first time my wife referred to looking something up online as, “Googleing it.” I chuckled and informed her there are plenty of search engines and why would you say, “Google it” when services like Yahoo! had been around longer.
Silly me.
Here’s a very interesting look at the affects of Google and our memory:
What kind of long term effects do you see this having on society and the world as a whole?

Thanks for the graphic. I think that google or the internet will have postive and negative affects on our society. One great book that talks about this is, The Shallows by Nicholas Carr.

Great suggestion!
