Wow.
Have you seen and/or heard about Line2 for the iPhone? It’s making a stir because of it’s ability to ‘sidestep’ AT&T’s service:
Line2 is a mobile app from Toktumi that’s a refreshing option for iPhone users who need to maintain a separate personal and a business phone number.
It’s also useful — and potentially revolutionary — for iPhone owners who want to cut down on their monthly voice minutes by allowing them to place calls over Wi-Fi as well as over 3G Voice Over IP (VOIP).
Check out this video after the jump:
The UI is nearly identical to the iPhone native app.
This app has already created a significant stir, as you can imagine. I almost want to buy it just to “stick” it to AT&T for having poor service at times.
But… I’m not interested in paying an additional $14.99 per month. … or am I?
Stuart says
If I was still at a place where I needed a business line then this would have fitted the bill beautifully.
Eric Frisch says
I’ve been using Vumber with my cell for years as a “business” line… gives me a second line with it’s own voicemail w/ the area code I actually live in. You can use it with ANY phone and it costs less than this… doesn’t get you off the network, though.
Stephen Bateman says
Did that get approved by the AppStore? or is this a jailbreak deal?
Brett Barner says
I can’t believe this got approved. Now where’s Google Voice? haha
Graham says
That’s insane! Can I just get an iPhone now?! haha… I can’t believe this got approved either.
