Collectively, many people are taking an interesting and fun approach to this phenomenon of instant messages, instant replies and instant answers.
It’s called, a phone stack and this is how it works:
A Phone Stack
When each person arrives, they place their phone facedown in the middle of the table. As each of you arrive, you stack one phone on top of the other. This is optional, but it does add a little dramatic flare to the game.
As you hang-out one-on-one or with a group of friends, phones may ring and texts may be received, but no one is allowed to answer or look at their phone.
Yes. That’s right. Calls are missed and text messages wait! Can you imagine!?!
If the entire meal or coffee session goes without anyone giving in to the temptation of using their phone, everyone pays for their own. However, if anyone picks up their phone, they foot the entire bill.
