Over the past few years, the web has gotten more and more social. It’s not at all uncommon for an application to attempt to integrate with services such as Twitter and/or Facebook on some level.
With services such as GitHub, even source code control has gone social. The guys over at The Change Log have taken a step further…
As if follow branching, merging, and other social activities on GitHub weren’t enough, a developer recently created a Mac application that brings Growl-like notifications to the desktop whenever activity occurs in a GitHub repository.
Once installed, all you have to do is provide your GitHub username, API Key, and the refresh interval. You can grab the project on GitHub.
Slick. Makes me wish we had something like this for our source control…
