The desire to find hidden treasure–it’s what makes kids want to search through their grandparents’ attic and what made Nic Cage’s National Treasure franchise watchable.
It’s what makes video game Easter eggs so captivating, and it’s something that Google understands pretty well. In fact, in many ways, I think Google understands the human need for play better than most companies, at least those who aren’t actually in the field of game design.
Now, I don’t want to start a fight here, so I’ll just give you this as proof and assume that you now agree with me. (That’s how the internet works, right?)
