Cover photos are all the rage. The use of big images to make your social media profile more visually attractive is very “in” right now. The problem is, each social network has different dimensions for their cover photos and it takes a bit of searching to find all the specs.
Well, it’s your lucky day, as you will never have to hunt down those elusive cover photo dimensions ever again!
That is, until the networks change the sizes.
In the meantime, here is your one-stop social media cover photo cheat sheet:
[Click for Larger, Scaled Version]
Here’s the specs (in pixels) just in case you can’t see the image above:
- Google+ = 2048 x 1142
- Twitter = 1252 x 626
- YouTube = 1546 x 423
- Facebook = 851 x 315
It’s good to note that in YouTube’s official Channel Art Guidelines, they state that it’s best to use an image that is 2560 x 1440 and just make sure that the 1546 x 423 area in the middle is where you put your logo and text.
In the original article, I’ve also included the individual templates for each social network so you can download them and use them as a starting point for your next social media cover photo project.

Well as long as you’ve positioned it correctly that will work just fine. I’ve done the same thing! 😀
