It’s #GivingTuesday!!
#GivingTuesday is an awesome idea.
After giving thanks, getting deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s a wise idea to take some time to give. After all, isn’t that what this time of year is really all about? Shouldn’t the Church be on the leading edge of this kind of idea?
Even if you missed last week’s post about #GivingTuesday, there’s still time to give!
Spread the word, and if you haven’t already, take a moment to decide exactly how you plan on giving some time, talents and support this year.
What are you giving this #GivingTuesday?

My good friend is starting a church in the heart of the entertainment industry– Burbank, CA (little known fact for non-Californians). Today they are doing an Eat Art gala where they have works of art (mostly photography) for sale and every single dollar goes to feeding a child in need.
I’ll be heading straight there after work today!

My friends and I were having this same conversation! That is great if something like this could take off. I recommend it occur on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. 1. It’s like tithing: it comes first, before the festivities. Plus, you give out of your desire to help, not out of “what’s left over.” 2. There are lots of sales on food, a great time to stock up and help out food banks and other ministries that are hosting Thanksgiving Dinners at their churches.
Great idea!

Good idea. Although it might put a crimp on things a day before Thanksgiving, as many people are traveling or preparing for Thanksgiving. Perhaps we should have MANY Giving Tuesdays? 😉
