Our very own editor around here, Eric Dye, reviewed this book when it was released several months ago. He said the following about it in his original post.
It’s like a tall cold class of water on a hot summer day. Refreshing to say the least. Although the author, Blaine Hogan (creative director at Willow Creek), is an experienced ’creative’ himself, this is not a book that panders to the stereotypical creative persona. This is a book that calls-out the ‘creative’ that’s deep inside of all of us!
Originally, only the first chapter of the book was available for free, but now it’s available in it’s entirety!
Although I haven’t read the entire book yet, I did make sure that all of our creative team had a copy. I heard Blaine discuss many of the concepts in the book at his breakout at Echo Conference ’12 and I was captivated, to say the least.
Here’s why I would blindly recommend it: Because Blaine does so well at balancing the practical side of creativity and the theory of it all. He’s a practitioner that never stopped dreaming.
Many people don’t know this, but aside from being the Creative Director at Willow Creek Church, he has an extensive background in acting, and you might recognize him from his recurring role in the hit TV show, Prison Break.
How Do I Get the Free eBook?
All you have to do is sign-up on his blog for his email newsletter and you will be sent a link! It’s a painless process and as someone who has been getting his newsletters for awhile, they don’t contain any spam and are actually filled with really good stuff.
I’d download it as soon as possible, as there are plans for the book to be published in a print edition and I’m guessing this freebie will disappear right before that.
Unfortunately Blaine’s book is no longer free, but, you can still get it on Amazon

I actually did a review of this right when it came out. I think I got a copy for free because I reviewed it for Blane. I love it. This is a book that I’ll keep going back to again and again. It’s GOLD!

I think that his self-awareness, honesty and love for the creative process make this book a must-have resource for creatives!

I couldn’t seem to find the offer anywhere on his site. Any updates?

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for the comment. It was available a few days ago but you are right, it is gone. Thankfully, I touched base with Blaine and he opened up for one more day just for this community!
