Depending on where you live, you may have fully emerged from lockdown or still be under guidance to stay indoors 24/7. In either situation, your post pandemic church should be asking tough questions about the way it will operate in the future. Both what aspects from the lockdown were beneficial and should be further harnessed, and what has been missing.
But it can be difficult to navigate these conversation. Sometimes the technical questions become barriers to the bigger picture, sometimes we haven’t thought through all the long-term implications of COVID, and sometimes we forget or get complacent about important aspects in the heat of the moment.
The power of checklists and discussion prompts
That’s why checklists and discussion prompts can be a useful tool to get everyone reflecting on the same topics and lead more productive discussions.
The team over at Hope 15:13, an initiative from the people at Pinner Baptist Church in the UK created their own set of post-pandemic church discussion prompts to help churches emerge from the pandemic stronger than when they entered.
Plan for your Post Pandemic Church
This free download contains 7 questions that reflect on our personal and then corporate experiences from the pandemic, before moving onto 7 questions that address the future of the church.
You can go beyond the questions and prompts provided, but they are a great starting point for your discussions.

Failure to plan…
One of the common refrains at the moment is about the coming “new normal” that things won’t go back to the way they were before. Hope 15:13’s reference to putting old wine in new wine skin is apt. We should carefully consider how we as individuals and church communities live out our faith post pandemic. This resource can help plan for your post pandemic church.
Are there any questions you think Hope 15:13 missed? Leave them in the comments.
