[Editor’s Note: ChurchMag has just announced a new way to get free high quality images! Learn more.]
For folks into creative functions, the hunt for free high quality images is a never ending one, right?
Whether it’s for a blog post, book/album cover, or church website, it’s always useful to have as many options as possible.
Below is a list of great websites that I love to use to find free photos for my projects, hope you find them useful too.
7 Online Resources to Find Free Images
1. Life of Pix
Lots of absolutely free high resolution pictures with no copyrights restrictions. In fact, you can even use them for commercial purposes! New photos are added on a weekly basis and donated to the public domain.
2. Snapographic
This site publishes a lovely collection of photographs taken by Thomas Mühl. All of them are given away free for personal and commercial usage.
3. Skitter Photo
Skitter Photo provides loads of free high resolution images from all over the world. The image you see above is from this site.
4. Pixabay
This is a repository of good quality public domain (read free for commercial usage too) pictures, vectors and drawings handpicked by the good folks at Pixabay. You could upload and share your own pictures too.
5. New Old Stock
If you’re looking for older photos from public archives, you should check this site—created and maintained by Cole Townsend. Lots of retro images made available for free without any known copyright restrictions.
6. Jéshoots
Another neat photography site maintained by Jan Vasek offering free, modern images published under Creative Commons public domain deed CC0.
7. Public Domain Archive
Finally, the granddaddy of them all—the Public Domain Archive probably hosts the largest online collection of free high quality photos. New content is added on a weekly basis too!

Seems like unsplash is getting lots of votes from commenters!
The reason it’s not on this list is because it’s already been reviewed here:
