You can have the most awesome website, you can have the best video production, and you can have the most amazing church marketing—but it turns out that the most powerful marketing tool in the church is the church itself.

I’d be interested in some recent research to back this up.
I know it simply isn’t the case with my own congregation. I’d say it was nearer 80% of people who encountered the website first and then came to church. I simply don’t belong to a congregation where 80% of first time visitors have been invited by someone else.
