Get ready for the “largest ever faith-inspired global collaboration event for technology!”
Have you ever heard of Code for the Kingdom’s hackathon?
It’s super awesome.
Here’s what it’s all about:
Global Code for the Kingdom Hackathon 2015
From the Code for the Kingdom press release:
- Imagine a couple thousand of the brightest minds on the planet working together in 14 cities across The Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa for two straight days to create new technologies that would reclaim culture for the Church and God’s Kingdom.
- Imagine advancing the gospel with wearable technology, new tools to help foster accountability in the digital age, new apps that reach those in the Islamic world, new games for children that would bring Christian values to their everyday lives.
- Imagine using the advances in Virtual Reality to bring visibility of remote mission work to anyone who has a mobile device, and new technologies that foster a culture of generosity.
- Imagine pitching to the hackathon participants your idea of an app to impact people’s lives and working with them to make your idea come to life.
- Imagine all that and much more!
Leadership Network is hosting the first global Code for the Kingdom hackathon in collaboration with Indigitous and local organizers worldwide on October 2-4.
This event will be held in 14 cities around the world:

How exciting is that! 😀
I’ve heard about what it’s like at the Code for the Kingdom hackathons and it’s super cool. If you are near any of these locations and you are an entrepreneur or technologist, you need to check this out.
In the past nine hackathons, there have been 1,200 innovators who have created over 120 projects—including Scriptural engagement; human trafficking detention, reporting and disruption; Christian games for children; aiding the homeless; generosity, community and ministry involvement ; equipping ministry, mentorship, volunteer management, environmental sustainability , spiritual guidance, prayer, Bible translation, Gospel presentation and more!
And this time, they’re going global.
So, yeah.
Like I said.
It’s super awesome.
Check it out, learn more, at the Code for the Kingdom website.

Super excited to see this post on ChurchMag! I’ve been looking forward to participating in a Code for the Kingdom Hackathon for months, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it to the Glabal day (none of the locations are particularly close to my home near Philadelphia), but oh man, C4tK is awesome!
Thanks for spreading the word, Eric!
