Posting video online is tough. Doing it well is even more difficult. And if you want to be consistent with it as part of an overall online strategy, let’s just say that I have not seen a lot of people be successful at it within the Christian realm. But consistency matters. If they are posting for your entertainment, you do not want to have a varying schedule or quality of content. You do not want someone that posts ten times in one day and is not heard from for 5 months.
Honestly, that’s just poor management. I’ve found with my own channel that the planning, filming, editing, and posting for a 5 minute video can take between 3 and 7 hours of work on the back-end.
So below are four of my favorite Christian YouTubers who have been consistent. Note this is not a comprehensive list, just of those that I am currently following.
Why Not Facebook Too?
Video is a huge part of the online experience right now and I am an advocate for people to try it out for themselves and ministry. Facebook is jumping into the video process by making it a primary component of their platform along with Facebook Live.
But you have to remember that they are not the first to have been successful at video. That was YouTube. I love YouTube and everything that it represents. I’m a bit biased as I worry people will heavily invest in Facebook videos only for them to have yet another in a LONG string of knee jerk reactions and make you pay for video presence or just remove many of the core functionalities with it.
That being said, here is my own favorites.
The Church Vlog
I just recently discovered this channel and think it is the perfect example of how a church can vlog, not only for a marketing technique (though I know if I am ever in their neck of the United States, I will be visiting) but the indirect support I get from watching their channel. They are authentic sharing the positives and negatives of ministry which are just great!
That Christian Vlogger
Justin is another new subscription I found on YouTube who I gain inspiration from as I record. He takes vlogging in a different direction, intentionally tackling hard questions week to week, yet still giving a very personal touch to his videos. Check him out!
Jon Jorgenson
Is it too much to say he is the Casey Neistat of Christian vloggers? Unlike the previous two channels, Jon posts daily. How? Because he has special wizard powers, I’m sure of it. Honestly, I don’t know. But he has the gift of speaking and someone you need to follow today.
Wayne Wrzesinski
Wayne is a youth pastor and if you know my past in ministry, you know I have a special place in my heart for youth pastors. In addition to life transitions and speaking from the heart about his life, he shares his own experiences. Don’t ask me how to say his last name, I will get it wrong.
Bonus: My Own Channel
I wanted to share mine because I’m still experimenting with my channel with video game Let’s Plays and a weekly vlog. I actually talk a little bit of behind-the-scenes with ChurchMag’s YouTube, but go into life in general as well. It’s actually my connection with my family who lives 2,000 miles away as our children are growing up. Plus, I love the challenge of telling a story well.

I watched some of the content and would have to greatly disagree. Wouldn’t add it all. Sorry, not looking for a YouTube version of CBN.

I don’t know if you were sharing because you wanted added to this list or a comment on the channel from me?

If you like Christian YouTube channels, I would love if you check out the Trinity Joppa channel. Among other programming we have a weekly talk show, “Trinity Talk Live,” to give folks an alternative to all the secular talk that covers topics and comes from a perspective that doesn’t really align with Christian values. We caption the show “water cooler conversation from a Christian perspective,” and that is what we hope it is. We cover the topics that are important to Christians and discuss them with Christians. God bless!
