Are you accusing me of being a social media nerd?
What? A Pokémon nerd TOO?!
OK. I admit, it is truth. I freaking love those things. So much.
But didn’t you get into Pokémon when it was all the rage? I collected all of the Pokémon playing cards from the first series and currently have it all in a beautiful display folder. The shineys were always a pain to get hold of though. I needed the Charizard shiney to complete my set, and paid £10 for one that had been dropped in a puddle. That was a low point in my life.
Don’t even get me started on the Gameboy Pokémon games. I loved them. Although I never managed to complete a single one. I always got stuck really early on in the game when you got to the bit where you are plunged into complete darkness in the caves. This was in my teens, and now as a 23-year-old adult I only just last week found out that you need to have a Pokémon that has the “flash” skill and then you can see in the caves, and that was only because someone from my youth group pointed it out to me whilst I was complaining about the caves. I think I have gone down in their estimations.
As for social media, don’t even lie. You love it too. Otherwise, you probably wouldn’t be here.
Don’t you love how I have managed to combine those two guilty-geeky-pleasures into an awesome Facebook status as shown above?
Would you like to do something that cool yourself?
Of course you would!
I’m all about sharing my secrets. Especially when I come across beautiful nerdy social networking “hacks”.
It’s so easy you will be laughing.
There is simply a cool website where you can choose for the “via” section in your Facebook post to be various things.
There is a pretty cool list including various things like “via Your mom’s computer” and “via Death Star”.
You should try it out, for a bit of fun. There are actually two lists, List 1 and List 2.
Enjoy – and if you create a cool Facebook status update, be sure to link a screenshot in the comments below!
