Sometimes you simply need to do the work for the viewer instead of banking on their ability to navigate or use your site well.
One of the constant frustrations that many people face is with documents and making sure that the viewers can get to them. I’m sure you’ve had the frustration of finding out that people “can’t find” where they downloaded a document from your site, right?
Perhaps you just need to embed it with Embedit.in? Here’s what they say:
Documents on your website should be more than an afterthought.
Make it convenient for your viewers to see and interact with your content right in their browser with no need to prompt for any software download or account for variability in user experience.
Experience never-before-possible control over the documents and files on your website.
Sounds good to me.
I’ve already passed this resource along to a few people who have had some historically-bad experiences with their end users downloading documents only to “lose” them on their computers.
Check the service out, seems like a keeper. And, obviously Box.net think so too since they’ve acquired the service!

So what competitive advantage does this have over a slide share embed?
John Saddington says
without question some of the auxiliary services they have, like sitewide:
http://embedit.in/sitewide
that’s pretty awesome if you have a lot of old links or a huge legacy site.
