Email feels like an archaic piece of technology. I remember having my first email in 1995 and so if you were to say what is one of the most changing platforms is email, I’d have laughed. But looking at the data from the last 4 years, it has actually had a huge shift that I think is important to note.
So if you do any kind of email marketing, for your blog, church, or business pay attention.
Here are three stats I was surprised by from the infographic below:
- The top five clients people use to open their email include iPhone, Gmail, iPad, Android, and Apple Mail.
- iOS represented 45% of all mobile openings of emails, Android 10 percent.
- In the last four years, desktop has gone from by far the most (58%) used platform to the least (19%) whereas a mobile device has gone from least (8%) to most (55%).
