Elevation Church has released their 2011 annual report and it’s an inspiring look at web design well done. There are several really cool elements going on in this one page, horizontal scroll based website.
The first space you enter is an introduction video by Elevation Church Pastor Steven Furtick.
As you scroll to it, the video automatically loads and begins playing. As you scroll past, it automatically stops. This is the only time this happens with an embedded video, but since this is an important greeting and introduction, having it auto-play was a good choice.
The next thing I noticed was how well the graphs were done. Not only were they visually appealing, but they used 3D scrolling effects really well!
They’ve even mixed up the graphs and stats with photos and videos:
This particular infographic was the best 3D scroll effect. Very cool.
At first, I thought these were simply photos that would pull up a lightbox.
I was half right.
There was a lightbox, but all of these thumbs were for videos!
Cool!
Even with all this raw data and cool animations, they took some time to throw in a little humor:
Finally, when you get to the end of the Elevation Church 2011 Annual Report, you can easily share it with your social network or download a PDF version of the report:

Any idea how they did this? Do you think they used Adobe Edge or After Effects? Or coded it from hand? So amazing.
