Yes, for many Christ followers, Starbucks is the only game in town along with independently owned coffee shops.
But there are also many that prefer the lighter touch of Dunkin Donuts coffee along with their bagels and of course, their donuts.
Now, there is an app from Dunkin Donuts that will allow fans of the coffee to be utilized on both Android and the iPhone.
The app has the following features:
- Virtual Dunkin Donuts card – Yes, like with the Starbucks app, you can present your phone to the cashier who will scan the barcode and directly debit your account
- Store Locator – The app will use your built in maps application to find a location. You can add the location of your choice as the “home” location
- Browse The Menu – Allows you to view and find products as well as view nutritional information
- Send A Virtual Gift Card – You can send a virtual gift card to friends via text, Facebook or e-mail
Image is from the iPhone app, but the Android app interface is pretty much the same.
Do you use a “coffee app”?
What’s your favorite coffee spot — Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts or independent coffee shops?
Jonathan Assink says
Considering my church owns and runs a coffee shop (where I work), my favorite option is always small and local. I have nothing against Starbucks as a company–they are the ones who turned coffee culture into big business and paved the way for everyone else. But I’ve found most often the combination of burnt/lower-quality beans and poorly trained baristas makes for subpar drinks at Sbux.
