I’ve been using DuckDuckGo for the last week and so far I actually like it. I don’t necessarily see it becoming my primary search engine but when I’m looking for more “geek-ish” stuff I’m trying it out.
Gabreil Weinberg, the man behind it and is one of the more well-known Reddit users, has used web results via Bing and BOSS to create a custom crawler to find and remove spam from results.
2 million queries a month so far and it’s only growing.
I’m pretty impressed but the jury is out until I use it some more. Take it for a spin and let me know what you think.

I’ve been using DDG as my default search engine for sometime now. The results I enjoy are the category results, I can find more about a subject, book, film, etc.. much easier. As for the regular old results those are just as good as the top-dogs.

Yeah, I am considering making it my default search engine… the only thing I don’t like is the lack of live results in the Chrome address bar… I may experiment with keywords to enable/disable DDG on particular searches.
