There is a common perception that professional gear—cameras, computers, microphones, etc…—and professional apps—Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, etc…—will result in professional production.
On the surface this seems true, but if you take a close look, this isn’t always the case.

I heard someone say that if you have someone with skill, but bad tools or someone with no skill, but great tools, the person with skill will be better than the one with better tools. Now, a pro with pro tools can accomplish amazing things. In fact, a person with skills will be more efficient with better tools.
