Suppose you received a word of wisdom from the Lord this morning when you studied His word. The verse jumped off the page and into your heart. You were inspired. The more you thought about it the better it got. You even thought up a great illustration and application for a group of people who could benefit from your insight. Now, how much time and effort will it take for you to gather your friends together so you can share your insights with them? How long will it take for you to write, edit and publish your insights so the world can benefit? If you are a preacher then you are thinking about it for next Sunday. If you are a writer then you are thinking about it for your next article or book. But what if the Lord gave it to you today because He wanted you to teach it today; how can you make that happen? The answer is through digital media.
Digital is Biblical. The bible tells us to become all things to all people so that by all means we might reach people for Jesus. Here is a deep thought: “All means, means, all means.” The Lord has blessed all means for getting his word out for 2000 years. Some of the “all means” are: market places, letters, ships, amphitheaters, schools, pagan temples, church buildings, open air, convention centers, theaters, tents, stadiums, radio, television, records, film, books, magazines, cassettes, CD’s, DVD’s, audio players, and pamphlets. And now the Lord is using digital. Digital includes: IMAGS, sound, computers, laptops, notebooks, cell phones, social media, text and live casts.
A synagogue leader once asked the Apostle Paul if he had a word of encouragement for the people? Paul did, and he immediately began to sharing it with the people who were present. Digital media allows you to do the same. Do you have a word of encouragement for the people? If so, please start using digital media. Let me show you why…
