Designer’s Against Child Slavery is a non-profit a friend of mine started to help raise awareness and help be a part of the process of ending child slavery. There are many organizations out there that are geared towards doing similar efforts:
From what I can tell this is one of the first to really tackle it by using the efforts of designers and their craft to help raise awareness through art.
Sex trafficking is at an all-time high it seems and seeing organizations come alongside this issue and facing it head-on is amazing. Passion has definitely helped spear-head much of the efforts on the big stage, but seeing organizations like DACS brings a joy in my heart because they don’t have the big stage (yet) but they are still making an impact.
And the cool thing about them is that artists, just like us, can apply and do what we do best…create for for a cause worth creating for.
So what do you think about the project?
