Our culture says, “Image is everything.”
We know this has negatively influenced the church when we become more interested in shiny websites, rockin’ worship and Tweeting preachers, than the Gospel.
I love design. I love it when good art and solid media is produced by the church. I feel frustrated when I see some of the “churchy cheese” that gets produced and marketed.
Although image is great, it’s the content that really matters.
I recently read that if roughly 6% of born again Christians adopted an orphan, all the adoptable orphans in the world would be cared for.
If the church was doing this, our churches might not even NEED websites!
So, as creatives, let’s keep this in mind. Stay focused on the content. Not only in our daily design work, but in our daily lives.
