“Me love Cookie Monster!!!”
Rumor has it that when I was a wee little tike, I would do a pretty good Cookie Monster impersonation.
I loved that guy.
When I found out that my Dad was going to be coming home with a color television, I remember that I couldn’t wait to see Cookie in full color. 😀
It turns out, Sesame Street wasn’t the first place Cookie Monster appeared. He was created in 1966 and was known on the un-aired television demo ad as, the “Wheel Stealer.”
I’m just glad they removed his teeth before he appeared on Sesame Street—YIKES!
This is totally Jim Henson. It sounds like Kermit!
A good reminder that there’s no such thing as instant success or perfect ideas that just pop-out of your head. Even Cookie Monster needed some perfecting before he became the iconic figure that he is, today.

The internet makes us forget that for every good video, idea, article that someone creates there are hundreds that don’t get the same attention. Here’s to all those who keep creating!
