Ever since this post about color my interest for color identification piqued. It has led to the discovery of this insightful infographic. To further give some insight we discovered this infographic by writer and children’s book illustrator Ingrid Sundberg called “Color Thesaurus.” This is a collection of 12 color charts that list the correct names of all shades. This will be a very useful reference tool to all our creative readers from artists, designers, firms, make-up professionals and anyone who’s planning to get their house painted.
Here are some things I learned from this infographic:
White is different from “Snow”
If asked to name colors in a game-show list all the fruits you can think of, you can’t go wrong – cherry, apple, berry, carrot, strawberry, grape, lime, orange etc.
The aformentioned can be applied to food as well – rice, butter, honey, yam, etc.
Denim is a color.
What have you learn from this infographic?
