Let’s say that you really like WordPress and that you haven’t been interested in using any of these other project management applications.
Why not try CollabPress? It’s a WordPress plugin that takes your installation and makes it a project management system.

My team at 8BIT is pretty sold on using Basecamp as our PM software but this looks pretty neat.

looks nice. Good foundation for future growth too. Would like to see this have a front end that does not exist within the wp-admin.

Agreed with all of these points.
It needs an external frontend or at least a view of … and not allowing comments / attachments in the first release is a little puzzling. Still looks good for a start – certainly less complex than MSProject ..!

Well, thanks for this. I rather enjoy that I don’t have to teach them a new interface. Just get them into ”the blog thing” and let them look at their tasks.
I’m sure that with time this will become a pretty nifty way to work with a small team.

Definitely, in the beginning stages; pretty minimal functionality for now, but maybe just right for a small organization like many non-profits and churches. It always amazes me the things people come up with when you open source a framework like WordPress. Not only does the framework become great, but it allows the community to develop the things they feel are important. Win. Win.
Thanks for sharing.
