We developers are some seriously opinionated people. We live and die by the tools we prefer. Of course, there’s a wide variety of technology out there and there a numerous application stacks that teams can use to create their products.
On top of that, everyone sits at a different level of experience. On one hand, that’s awesome because we can all bring something to the table; on the other hand, that makes delivering content and trying to resource others a challenge.
The 8BIT Network is – and always has been – about community. So if you’re a member of this community, are interested in code, are scared to death of programming, or are a veteran programmer, read on.
We’ve published a variety of articles over the past week or so – some covering yet-to-be-released software, some covering tools, and other programming how to’s. As we continue to develop and tailor the content surrounding Co.de, we’d love to know where you guys stand with respect to development.
Like the rest of our properties, there’s a specific intersection that we’re focused on, but the development field is wide. We’d love to know on what level you guys stand (beginner, expert, Jedi Knight?), and what you’re like to see featured here on Co.de.
This is our community – let us know!

Would love to see some focus on developing for Blackberry’s, they’re currently by far the most popuplar handset for business use (certainly within the UK) and for churches moving at a fast pace where communication plays an important role and staff are all mobilised with Blackberry’s it would be great to be able to utilise them for more than just phone calls and email etc. Has anyone here had any experience developing applications for Blackberry’s?
Tom says
Noted, Rich. We’ll see if we can’t get something in the pipeline for future posts.

That is funny, I am in the throws of writing some Android/iPhone/Blackberry apps. I’ll talk to Tom and if there is a serious need, contribute some of what I have learned through a tutorial.

Oh yeah, food for thought. Blackberry development works best when using Windoze which really splits the development camps. (Mac | Pc)
My opinion, is that as the Android OS grows in strength, developers will really start to gather. “Why?” Simply from the fact that you can develop regardless of environment, (Mac/Win/Linux).
