Previously, we had introduced the 2018 ChurchMag Reader Survey, talking about how we want to continue to improve ChurchMag, which would require your help. In doing so, we want to also share some details with you guys, the readers. I didn’t explain why though. The reason for sharing this data, at least a macro view of the data, is in order to improve the community with you guys. One of the best ways of developing community, as any youth pastor or college pep rally organizer knows, is to find commonality between all who are present. We want you guys to see some of the other shared or opposing interests that our readers hold.
Today’s post focuses on the tech and software side of things. Specifically, which desktop operating system are you rocking and what is the mobile device you are using?
Desktop Operating System
The desktop operating system question was not focused on home or work, just simply asking which you use. The numbers, not unsurprising, though I will say I love the strong presence of Linux and how even the other two systems are. The stats do not change much from 2014 to 2016, which I do not know if it’s because people just love what they love or desktop operating systems do not change that frequently. Mobile Devices
Mobile devices were based on mobile operating systems, as it would not make sense to do individual devices because there is too much variability there. I’m again not surprised by the results, but I am intrigued by the percentage of shifts from 2014 and 2016. I’ll be interested to see how much that changes with this new survey.
