Have you ever have that one person on your team who is always encouraging? You need them on your team, and for us, Kristy is that person. We ask for a great social media comment from a podcast episode, and who is the first to respond? Kristy. We put out an article or survey that is looking for feedback, and she shares it for us.
That one person who is constantly encouraging us for us is Kristy.
- One social media account you use the most?
Instagram – personally; Facebook – Church Communications. I would also point people to my twitter account. @kristyannhenry - Have you ever served in your church’s tech ministry?
Yes, I served on a volunteer basis for 2 years before being hired this year part-time as a communications director. - What tech, web, or app are you in love with right now?
Currently, the apps I love and are my go to are SquareSpace and Canva. Although I am a graphic and web designer by trade, I find that this was the best fit to work with a team of volunteers to create the overall web/graphic presence for my church. - Who is your favorite social media person to follow and why?
Darrel Girardier – He is so encouraging. I find that when I listen to him, I always take away something useful to my everyday personal and ministry life. I have implemented many of his strategies and saw great success. - What nerdy thing do you love right now on television, movies, or the web?
Ok, this is hard to admit, but I love games. I used to play a popular MMO, but have since switched to less time consuming games such as Clash of Clans and Boom Beach. I also listen to talk radio while I work. I am the nerd politics, local and world news girl. - Last gadget you bought?
My most recent and absolutely necessary purchase was my fully-loaded 17” Macbook Pro. Extra nerd points that I have a matching macbook case, laptop bag, iPhone case and iPad case. You can never been too fashionably nerdy. - When did you start reading Churchmag?
Probably, a year ago. I was soaking up anything church media related. I found that there was always something new there. I could count on new resources and articles consistently. Along with a genuine connection on social media to take the conversation online. Which I really appreciated. I felt like more than just another reader—I was a part of the conversation. - What one part do you like most about Churchmag beyond the blog?
Toss up … Social Media for sure. The ChurchMag team genuinely connects with its readers on Twitter.
