Balloon birds, Decoding Empathy, and a doctor turning into Batman all here in this week’s Snack Pack just for you.
These playful yet skillfully made Balloon Birds Mimic Their Real-Life Counterparts. I learned how to make balloon animals years ago, but all I could make was a sword and a puppy that also looked kind of like a giraffe sometimes. These balloon birds are really impressive.
Decoding Empathy by Blessing Mpofu was such a thought-provoking and well-written read I had to share it with you guys too. I loved this quote from it:
Empathy is an act of vulnerability and courage. It takes courage to acknowledge, to yourself and others, that what you see in them is also in you. It is how we say to others, “I see you fellow human. Together, let’s be.” –Blessing Mpofu
Reddit is letting users tip real money — to one guy in one subreddit. Yep, one guy in one subreddit. Wanna know why? Because it was nineteen ninety-eight when the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell, and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer’s table.
Hybrid Graphite Drawings Merge Animals and Humans with Unexpected Obstacles such as a deer with a tree for a head and a robot sitting on the lap of a lady reading a book.
i gave a talk at an all-girls' high school this morning. asked how many were gamers; no hands went up. "how many of you play candy crush, the sims, minecraft, or fortnite?" laughter, and all hands go up. it broke my heart a little. if you play games– ANY games– you're a gamer.

As someone who plays pretty much only Minecraft, I agree wholeheartedly and I too would never have called myself a gamer because of that.
I’d feel better if I could find just one place in scripture where God praises someone for their witty banter and ability to silence someone with sarcasm.

Same.
Church lady, to me: “My goodness, you’ve grown quite a beard! It’s so thick!
*pauses*
“Why don’t you grow some of that on top of your head?”

This little boy told doctors his dream was to meet Batman.
One of the doctors dressed up as Batman to surprise the little one.

Superheroes don’t always wear capes but sometimes they do.
