Christmas is in 19 days. Can you believe it?
This week we have a Christmasy Snack Pack with a Christmas music video about sweats, and lots of Christmas resources, to Tweets about angels and aliens, and dying Christmas trees. I hope you grab your favorite Christmas mug full of your favorite winter-time beverage and enjoy.
Our favorite Christmas resources come from here at Why Christmas? From learning about Christmas around the world to helping you celebrate it right at home this site has it all. AND DID I MENTION THAT IT’S ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS?
It’s now the season to watch this music video by Rhett and Link called Christmas Sweatz. It’s a personal little tradition of mine to watch it every year. It speaks not only to my love of Christmas but also to my love of sweats and pajamas.
The Christmas season has begun, and this Social Media Advent Calendar may just come in handy for your church’s social media. Chris also put together 25 Days of Bible Verses to Share which you may even like for your own personal social media.
What Is Christmas? takes you down the timeline from the fall of Adam to the birth of Christ and how they’re intrinsically connected. It’s a good old “Jesus is the reason for the season” history lesson.
Do you hate Christmas music? If you do, I forgive you, and we can still be friends. I have never had this hate for it and I could not understand how anyone could. So I Googled it. Of course. The Reason Why Some People Hate Christmas Music is put simply: that it is associated with stress that people have come to have during this season. This made me think two things: 1. consumerism is destroying Christmas and 2. we are letting it. If you have some thoughts about this I would LOVE to them! Comment below and share with me why you hate or love Christmas music and what you think about people who feel the opposite.

I voted but I didn’t Google it yet because I’m waiting for the poll to end. I want the suspense.

That’s what’s in my favorite Christmas mug.
The word Christmas appeared in this post so many times I quit counting. I got up to 13 times. Comment below with how many you counted!
