Back in the 1970s, NASA had some really awesome ideas about space stations.
Unfortunately, due to funding, lack of proper materials, and the enormous scale of these ideas, they were forced to go in a different direction.
Church IT guys have to take the same approach. It would be nice to build the most awesome computer network, or have the best computers, soundboard and projectors; but we have to work within our boundaries.
NASA didn’t scrap the whole International Space Station idea because of these circumstances, they just stayed within the limitations they were given.
It takes more work and creativity to stay within these boundaries, but it can and should be done.

But I must say, I sure hope we eventually reach that stage of eventually accomplishing what was laid out in those conceptual pictures for space travel.
