You probably have heard by now that online gaming is a big deal. It honestly has been for over a decade starting way back with World of Warcraft. Recently with streaming on YouTube and Twitch as well as the ability to monetize it, we have seen a surge in gaming where people are able to make it their full-time job.
A couple of years ago, I had talked about how we could become online missionaries, literally raising money from Christians to be able to preach the Word of God to people online. Gamers are no different. There are certainly organizations like Love Thy Nerd which we fully endorse, but Christian gaming streamers make this their everyday job online.
I want to share a couple of people who are are my favorite and doing this amazingly online. I encourage you to go watch their streams. Vote for Christian gamers with your views. If you want, certainly share their channel with your social media. And if you have Amazon Prime, you can actually give money to them for free by linking your Amazon Prime account to Twitch and every month giving them a subscribe. This gives them up to $4/month because you have Amazon and clicked subscribe on their channel. (Here’s a tutorial on how to link your Amazon account to Twitch)
Here are four Christian gaming streamers you could go support below:
Skaman1978
I’m putting my money where my mouth is with this one. Of all the streamers I list below, Andrew, aka Skaman, is who I watch the most and who I have subscribed to for the past 5 months. Every time a new viewer comes on board, he greets them with open arms and immediately tells them God loves them. If you want a small time streamer that is looking to do this daily, he is your man.
SuperShadow
Jay is a full-time pastor who loves to stream. Many times it is gaming, but he likes to break the mold and go for IRL streams too where he sits and talks about talks, I’m guessing having to do with his sermon prep. See what it is like for a full-time pastor to livestream.
PastorSouZy
Pastor SouZy is lead pastor of the GodSquadChurch, a group of committed livestreamers to share the message of Jesus online. He himself is a full-time streamer and Twitch partner. He’s been featured on the Washington Post and other publications and you can expect to get a bunch of World of Warcraft, Kingdom Hearts, or him singing worship music.
||Preacher||
This is our only non-Twitch streamer on the list. Evan loves PUBG and while not my cup of tea, it has rushed to the top of Microsoft’s Mixer list of streamers. Plus, he’s been raising a lot of money for charities recently.
Have you been watching Christian gamers stream? Who do you watch?
