For those that are looking to create a better crafted digital experience for content they are creating, be that social media, blogging, or video platforms, you may or may not have heard of a concept called call-to-action. To get us on the same page, here is the definition provided to us by Hubspot:
“A call-to-action is an image or line of text that prompts your visitors, leads, and customers to take action. It is, quite literally, a ‘call’ to take an ‘action.'”
We want to give you some tips on calls-to-action you may make, so check out the infographic below.
In the comments below, share with us what kinds of actions you want your viewers to take with your content, in ministry or personal.
Here are some of your best ways to create great call-to-action statements for your digital content:
- Contrast. Setting your call to action apart from the rest of your website will undoubtedly draw attention to it and hopefully encourage people to click the button! Maybe this is “sign up for our picnic” or “get your forms for camp here.”
- Visual hierarchy. Decide which call-to-action should have priority and give it the weight it deserves. That means make it more bold and appealing.</
- Communicate value. This does not mean that you have to always put numbers to something like the infographic states. Churches can easily state the importance in a quick phrase that is bolded and offset from the rest of the content. “Learn Godly parenting” or “Join the family.”
