We’ve been using Buzzsprout to publish the ChurchMag Podcast for almost a year, now, and it has been great. I would highly recommend them for your personal podcast as well as your church or ministry podcast. Their customer service has been top notch, their service has been smooth sailing from day one. We use WordPress and their plugin makes adding new podcasts in blog posts super easy.
So when I heard that Buzzsprout was going to add some more awesome — I was really excited!
New & Improved Podcast Stats
Unlike pageviews for your website, podcast plays can be difficult to track and iTunes — the number one place to podcast — doesn’t play well with others. Thankfully, services like Buzzsprout have figured out cool ways to measure how many plays your podcast is getting.
When I first started using Buzzsprout, they provided the basic number of plays each podcast had. That was good enough for me, but not enough for Buzzsprout. 🙂 Today, they are launching a whole new interface with more robust statistics that will answer these six fundamental questions:
- How many plays / unique downloads do each episode have?
- Is this above or below your podcast’s average?
- Where on the web are people listening?
- What device and browsers are being used?
- Where are your listeners geographically?
- How many plays can you expect for your next episode?
Impressive isn’t it?
And like everything else with Buzzsprout, it’s easy to navigate and use:
And you also look at individual episodes:
This isn’t Google Analytics, but it sure is close — especially for podcasting!
Best of all, Buzzsprout doesn’t plan on stopping here. They are committed to making podcast easier for its users and providing tools that help you become a better podcaster.
