I’m a geek, so I do things in a-typical fashion.
Or, at least, in ways that most people don’t. For example, I navigate faster through my computer without a mouse; having to move my hand from the keyboard (which is where most of my productivity comes from) to the mouse is wasted time (even with my Magic Mouse!).
So, a browser that allows me to navigate through the web with only a keyboard is highly attractive – check this one out:
Vimium is a Google Chrome Extension that allows just that. Here are some of the features:
- Helps you navigate the web without touching the mouse.
- Uses a clever highlighting method to navigate using links.
- Saves your zoom settings on a site-by-site basis.
- Customizable keyboard shortcuts
- Has an in-page help dialog to remind you of your personalized shortcuts.
Check out this vid overview:
So, are you that type of browser-user?

google’s devtools are pretty slick
my only problem with both firefox and chrome is bookmark syncing. I like using itunes to sync links on my mac/iphone.
maybe opera will come out with some sync thing…

cool.
I like that the speaker used a mouse when he started to talk specifics about vimium settings. I guess he needed it to point out what he was going to click on.

Just installed this extension on Chrome. The geek in me is currently squealing with glee. Love it.
