If you’re a LEGO fan (like I am – I still have several boxes of it…) and an Apple user (like I am – I’m in a room surrounded by fruity tech goodness) then you might just LOVE this!
Launched on KickStarter (and completely funded in a couple of days!), this project brings a whole new level of ‘connectivity’ to your laptop! The Brik Case is a snap on top cover for MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs manufactured in 2013 and later which allows you to create any bricky creation on it you wish.
It will be compatible with LEGO™, Mega Bloks, PixelBlocks, KRE-O, or K’NEX Bricks™ – so just about anything in the brick world.
The case will come with a bag of 100 1×1 bricks which mean you can make a logo/design on the case which will still slip in and out of a case/bag easily. But if you mainly use your laptop at home, why not go a bit more 3D?!
Check out the Brik Case on KickStarter!
The sad thing for me is, that although I’d LOVE one of these cases, my 2008 MacBook Pro is still going strong and I can’t really justify a new laptop just for a LEGO case 😉
Chris Wilson says
Such a shame that your Mac is still going strong eh James, if only Apple made them less reliable 😉 The only issue I’d worry about is my smooth macbook becoming more bumpy…but for lego…I could make the sacrifice!
James Cooper says
Those pesky reliable computers that just work… 😉 and as long as you don’t sit on the laptop, I think it’d be ok!!!
Eric Dye says
Oh, man. This is fun. 😀
James Cooper says
Yes. Yes it is 🙂
