There are a lot of churches that know how to market themselves well, and one of those churches is Liquid Church in New Jersey. It always seems like they’re doing some new and creative, but not just for the sake of being cool and creative. There is always an underlying purpose that drives them — the purpose of Jesus Christ.
There newest and latest action is particularly cool — and it happens tomorrow!
From the Liquid Church press release:
“Over 350 kids and volunteers will demonstrate this week that you don’t need to be super hero in order to help with problems as widespread as hunger across our cities. Participants from Liquid Church’s Camp Rock program will work together on Friday, July 11 to break the Guinness World Record for most hunger relief packages assembled simultaneously. Liquid Church teams will work to break the record by packaging over 12,000 hunger relief kit items within a 3-minute time period.
Each hunger relief kit will include 10 different shelf-stable items and be packed in a carrying bag. The original record was established by employees of a Fortune 500 company in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2012 with 555 packages. Liquid Church will attempt to break the original record by more than doubling the number to 1,200 packages.”
Working with Guinness World Records Limited of London, Liquid Church (and me!) are excited to see this new world record set!
“We’re excited to encourage the world that whether you are a child or adult, you can make a difference in our communities. I love seeing our kids put their faith into action!” — Lead Pastor of Liquid Church, Tim Lucas
12,000 hunger relief kit items assembled into 1,200 packages in only 3 minutes? Oh yeah, this is going to be #EPIC.
