Did you see Bob Dylan’s interactive music video?
If not, you have to!
Promoting Bob Dylan’s The Complete Album Collection, Vol. 1, an interactive video of Like a Rolling Stone has been put together in a TV like fashion. Using Interlude‘s Treehouse technology, this music video presents itself like a regular television that can be surfed channel to channel.
The results are pretty EPIC.
Your typical movie channel…but wait…their singing Like a Rolling Stone!
Changing channels, this news anchor is singing along, too!
And a cooking show. This wouldn’t be an accurate representation of a cable feed without a cooking show, right?
As you can see as you flip channel to channel, there are several cameo appearances, including Drew Carey:
This channel is my favorite. Not because I like sports that much, but I think it’s hilarious that when they show the players, they’re singing along to the song — LOL!
I remember when DVD players first came out and you had the option to change camera angles or perspectives. This tech option was never realized to its full potential, but in some way, this reminds me of it a little.
Perhaps we’ll see more music videos done like this? The creative room on this is huge.
Can you imagine all the cool Easter eggs or fun bits that could be done with music videos in this kind of interactive format? What a fun thing to do. 😀
