When I came across this service I was a little, ‘meh,’ initially.
Who needs video conferencing when you could just use Google+ Hangouts, right?
Wrong.
If you’re church, ministry, non-profit or business uses video conferencing much (or would like to do more), I think you’ll find BlueJeans a great way for video sharing and more!
Check it out:
BlueJeans
Alright, alright…I’ll just cut to the chase and tell you what really caught my eye with BlueJeans and you can visit their website to learn about the other really cool features they offer.
Blue Jeans supports the following 3rd-party clients:
- Skype
- Cisco Jabber
- Polycom RealPresence
- LifeSize Softphone
- Avaya Scopia
- Google Video Chat
#BOOM!
There it goes.
Mind.
Blown.
Let’s face it and turn-down our church-tech-know-it-all-geek-ness down a notch, okay?
People like what people like.
If you’re using a service like this, there’s no need to preach, teach and try to install a new service that you think is the best on some missionaries computer on the other side of the world, the church secretary in the other room who only knows Skype because that’s what she uses at home when she talks to her grandkids on the weekend, or your poor pastor who just figured-out how to turn-on the Polycom device in his office.
Just use BlueJeans.
Let everyone stay where they’re comfortable.

This could be a game changer.
Does anyone know:
1) Pricing? (and do they have non-profit pricing as well?)
2) Can you record sessions?
Eric Dye says
“The cost per active user ranges from just $50 per user per month to as little as $10 per user per month based on the size of the deployment.” (http://bluejeans.com/press-releases/all-you-can-meet-plans)
I don’t see a record option, but a basic screen capture record app would do the trick.
