When I initially started blogging many moons ago, it was solely for what I was writing. In the past decade as I have developed this craft, the industry has matured to the point that writing great content is the foundation, but to be super effective, you are going to need to do more. One of the very initial things you can do to improve your blogging process is to ensure you are doing more than just typing words.
In short, add images to your content.
It’s a must.
Here are my favorite three tips for doing blog graphics better from the infographic below:
- Visual content on your blog is important for many reasons including (some of these are not listed below) people learn differently, your brain processes images so much faster than words, and people are more likely to share your content because of the images.
- If you plan to add any kind of images, whether you solely do a featured blog image or go more in-depth with custom infographics, you will need to know how to use Photoshop or a similar application.
- You will also need to get a bit of an education in design. It doesn’t require a design degree, but there are a lot of academic applications or other ways to continue to learn and better develop your craft, including the infographic below.
What is your one pro tip for including visuals in blog articles?
