Is Soliloquy the best WordPress slider plugins?
If it’s not the best, it is certainly one of the best WordPress slider plugins!
I’ve tried a number of different sliders. Some good, some bad, some free, some paid–want I wanted to find was a solid slider plugin that I could use for just about any WordPress project I was working on. Different sites have different demands, so maybe I was asking too much?
The Best WordPress Slider Plugins IMHO
What I’ve found with most WordPress slider plugins, is the plugins that had the more complicated features I needed, were packed with so many different features that it made it run heavy. Did I need it to be more complicated? Yes. But I didn’t need all those other filters and options at the same time. As much as I liked the idea of flexibility, I was taking a serious performance hit.
As for the free sliders, these were great when I was trying to do something simple, but that’s where it ended: simple.
What I really wanted was a middle ground. A high performance slider that was fast, but gave me the option to add the extras where and when I needed them. A plugin that I could use on my sites over and over again. I like getting a solid tool set, a quality tool set, and sticking with it. This is why I build almost every site on Standard Theme.
Thankfully, I found Soliloquy.

This is where I like Soliloquy. It boasts a great number of features. Here are a few:

Easy to Use
It has all this power, but it’s easy to use.

You can see why I like it. It has all of these features–when I need them, it’s easy to use and did I mention that it’s fast? Yeah, it’s really fast:

i’ve looked at that one many times. could never bring myself to spend the money. i personally use a customized version of Nivo for most of my front pages and ET sliders for galleries. i might have to break down one of these days and give this one a try.

Yeah, it just depends on what you need it for. What I like about this one, is the flexibility. One slider to rule them all… 😛
