Beautiful Looping of The Gorillaz [Video]

Beautiful Looping of The Gorillaz [Video]

September 9, 2011
by James Brooks

I have always wanted one of those cool Boss loop pedals.

I have seen some people create some seriously amazing stuff with loop pedals and I find it so inspiring.

I haven’t thus far been able to justify the £250+ that the Boss RC30 costs, however I really hope that one day I will have some cash sitting around to be able to purchase one of these badboys, they are seriously awesome.

So, today I was browsing Google+ and came across this awesome video of British artist (represent!), Josie Charlwood, using a Boss RC30 and various other instruments to cover a looped version of the Gorillaz song “Feel Good Inc”.

It’s pretty incredible and I think definitely worth sharing.

A brief warning, I think that there might be one or two subtle swears in there.

Does this make you want to get an RC30?

Or maybe you have one already?

Is all of the looping coming from the RC30, or is that awesome TC Helicon Voice Live doing some of the work?

Either way, it’s definitely a cool sound.

I believe all of the looping is the Boss, and the TC is providing some of the harmonies. I want both SO badly….

Not sure if you’re heard of this band, but one of my favorite bands to use looping pedals is RATATAT. Really sureal sound i guess for rock noise. Loved the video in the post, nice site theme btw, the textures are nice.

Being that I know the song, I think that was PHENOMENAL.

I so wish I’d continued doing my music sequencing stuff back in the day – the Technology I wanted was just around the corner
