It seems there are a thousand different conferences for church leaders these days, but BASIC College Ministries is hosting a brand new event called BASIC Live that’s sure to make a splash. BASIC Live is a free, streaming event for college and young adult leaders, as well as their student teams. It’s taking place on April 27, from 10:00am-2pm.
Rather than trying to persuade young adult leaders and their students to take an expensive trip to a central location, BASIC Live is completely designed for online streaming. Leaders can tune in from a church, dorm, classroom, or wherever they want to participate to learn how to better reach college students and young adults.
The line-up of speakers on the topic is top-notch, including author Chuck Bomar, worship leader Kim Walker-Smith, college ministry expert Steve Shadrach, and megachurch pastor Peter Haas.
BASIC executive director Todd Cavanaugh added,
“I think it will be especially helpful for groups that watch it together to get ideas for upcoming semesters.”
It seems few resources are geared towards young adult and college leaders, so BASIC is offering this free of charge. There are already registrants from various ministries including Cru, Intervarsity, Chi Alpha, BASIC, and others.
You can register for free today for reminders and exclusive resources at the BASIC website.

Will the event also be available in a video on demand format for those of us who will be traveling during the time this event is scheduled? Thank you.

Hi Don,
I’m sorry this is so late! I just saw your comment. I’m heading up this event and we will be offering it afterwards for anyone who can’t make it. If you want to see the video afterwards you’ll need to go to the website and sign up for the $79 resource bundle. Part of that bundle is the ability to see the teachings after the conference.
