We are huge Basecamp fans and have been using it for our projects and management for a while.
But, we’re still not perfect with it and we’re always up for saving time. Basecamp announced recently a nice addition to their online software in the form of “Project Templates” and I’m pretty excited to start using them:
Project templates. Project templates let you set up a standardized project with to-dos, milestones, and messages. You can then use this project template to create new projects.
A new project created from a project template will be auto-populated with all the to-do lists, milestones, and messages from the template. A huge time saver that’s especially useful if you do lots of similar projects.
Fantastic…!
Are you a user of Basecamp? If not, what are you using to manage your projects?

We used to used deskaway, but found it a little too over complicated for our small team of 10 staff. We made the swap over to a combination. For coordinating projects that involve multiple staffers, we use a simple google doc, from there each staffer organizes his duties and responsibilities into their own copy of Things app, which I really can’t say enough about. Awesome program.
