At least 10,000 times a day, I see someone quoting a bad statistic that they have found somewhere on the Internet and wholesale adopt. The problem is that there are bad statistics, whether just a lie, an opinion presented as fact, or data shaped to support your argument, whether the data as a whole does or does not do so.
You as a reader need to understand what it means to have bad data and how to find out if it is. This video definitely helps you spot them!
