Dear Bacon,
It has been mere hours since I last enjoyed your crispy texture and savory flavor. My only regret is that I will not awaken to the fragrance of your piercing aroma.
But, wait! What is this?! Can it be true?
Oh, yes. It is.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve dropped your phone more than once. Probably more than once just today.
Because of a proclivity for accidents I almost always have a case protecting my iPhone. Some are purists when it comes to their devices and prefer to go “naked” (no case, sleeve, etc), but I can’t afford to replace this bad boy because of klutzy tendencies.
Anyway, I’ve rocked a decent case from Speck Products for awhile, but recently stumbled upon the perfect case for any fun-loving LEGO fan who embraces whimsy.

Stop predicting the death of Facebook. Just stop already! It’s a ridiculous bandwagon that is ignorant and misguided.
Anyone who says “Facebook is dying” is a technological luddite. They might as well throw away their smartphone, unplug their TV, and spike a laptop on the sidewalk.
Facebook is far from dying. Mark Zuckerberg will ride that pony to the bank for $30+ billion every day. Yeah, that’s 30 followed by NINE more zeros.
Here are just a few reasons why Facebook is thriving:

Twitter is great. As social media users (aka addicts) we love us some Twitter. Some even liken Twitter to a cocktail party. Cheers!
The trouble is when a cocktail party gets too crowded. There are too many conversation to try and keep track of. Or a bunch of loud mouths dominate the conversation. They talk and talk without listening to what anyone else has to say.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if you had a little mute button in your pocket that could silence conversations you don’t care about? Or zip the lips of anyone monologuing?

It might sound strange for a blogger, but I’m giving up on RSS. With over 75 blogs in a Feedly queue that publish new content regularly there is just too much to keep track of.
This is part of a larger effort to streamline workflows and create some margin in my life. As a family man with two jobs and many side projects, I could use a little margin.
How about you?
Here’s the reasoning for dropping RSS in favor of Twitter:

Stories are timeless. Whether passed along to the next generation by an oral tradition or the written word, stories permeate millennia. The stories we care about most are part of our story. Family background, origins of faith, cultural milestones, who was where at major moments in history.
Stories matter because people matter. We long for a sense of connectedness and community. We are social creatures. Across oceans and across time, stories tie us together.
With the advancement of technology the world has grown smaller. Mankind’s reach extends around the globe. Story keeps us connected. How we communicate that story progresses with technology.
Moses had stone tablets, the disciples had scrolls, and Luther had the printing press. We have social media.
