It’s not often that I get to review a product that considers itself a ministry. But this review is that review. The people behind this ministry understand me. They know that the list of books I have to read will only get longer and longer while my time to read them gets shorter and shorter. Yet they, like I, know that they hold treasure troves of helpful insight for my soul. That’s why Accelerate Books was started.

I think I’m getting old. The first thing that tipped me off was that I was discovering a growing disdain for any music that I didn’t listen to in high school. Next came my desire for an increase in the analogue-watches, pens, pencils, and books. All these things could easily be replaced with digital versions, but now, I have an appreciation of holding something truly exquisite, truly exceptional in my hands. Fast forward a year or two and I’m holding the most premium Book I’ve ever held in my life- Crossway’s ESV Preaching Bible. [Read more…] about Crossway’s ESV Preaching Bible [Saturday Morning Review]
Notion Review After Changing From Evernote
Several years ago, I ditched Evernote. I was a loyal user for the all the reasons everyone loves Evernote: organization, the ability to handle any data type you throw at it, and having it available on any and every device I used. Then, they restructured. Free features became locked behind a paywall, and I could only use the free version on two devices, this wouldn’t work as I was constantly bouncing between my phone, tablet, and desktop. I was thinking about social media conduct post-election. Lots of misinformation, harsh tones, and unfriending going on over there. I myself fell victim to Facebook’s black hole of political partisanship with a post of my own. Deeply regretting that mistake.
On the podcast Cross Politic, the hosts had a special guest Steve Deace, a nationally-syndicated radio host answering the question “Which candidate is worse for the church?” Deace made the argument that a Trump presidency would undermine the integrity of the American church. I think this has some real merit, and we need to fight hard to make that prediction never happen.

Sky Force Reloaded [Saturday Morning Review]
I fell in love with Skyforce 2014.
iDreams made a top down shooter that I actually enjoyed. With beautiful graphics, engaging gameplay that didn’t feel prolonged with in app purchases, and quirky characters, I felt right at home in a genre that always ends up alienating me.
So when I heard that Skyforce Reloaded hit the Play Store (and iTunes), I fell in love all over again.
