Did you notice the slight shift in color at the top nav bar?
Whoa. Where is the brush-aluminum look? Here’s one theory:
Are Apple’s computers heading to a darker liquid metal from their now standard aluminum just like the bar on the Apple.com website (and Lion OS)?
Perhaps, we’re not sure if the new material makes a good exterior shell. But Apple has invested into the new technology that is radio transparant and has some unique properties.
It’s making me crazy! I like that.

I’m in lust with it

Why is Apple so awesome? I heart companies that produce things of uncompromised aesthetic quality.

Heavens knows what Apple will be able to create with Liquid Metal moldings!!!#%@)^
The opportunity to develop designs with two metals in one process, ie: the Apple logo.
It’s gonna be epic.

I’m glad it wasn’t just me that noticed this earlier this week. I was kind of caught off guard by the drastic shift in color after being the same for so long. The Search box is what really made me realize something had changed.
And if Apple released a new MacBook line with the same coloring as the liquid metal mock-up, I’d be all over that.

Nice. It’s odd that the darker color does not go with any of Apple’s other OS UIs. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this mark the change of a small scheme adjustment in Lion then iOS. Of course the liquid metal case would be hotness as well.

Wow! It is quite a bit darker…hmmm….
