Just because I’ve been critical of fanboi’s, doesn’t necessarily mean I’m not one myself.
Sure, I’ve only been using an Apple for over a year, but believe me when I say, it doesn’t take long before you’re hooked. I used to think it was funny when people would say they would have a hard time going back to Windows.
Until now.
But am I a fanboi? Are you?
Just exactly how ‘Apple’ are you?

Hmmm … looks like I need to try harder–LOL!

Yeah, I think I need to try harder too. I ended up with a score of 75…

Off to the Apple Store!

I’m proudly 0% Apple 😛

That’s because you only use mobile devices–LOL! jk, jk … but seriously.

You are awesome.

Honestly I am a bit embarrassed by my score. It was not a four didget number but it did not lack too much. But I have been working on apple long before it was the it thing to do so that counts for something.
Eric Dye says
Yeah. I’m pretty sure you get bonus points for using Apple before it was cool.

What is it about Apple that drew you in? Was it the software choices that relate to writing, blogging, internet-content-ing? I’m often frustrated when I find really cool software, and then learn it’s not available for Windows. But I’m fearful that if I switched to an Apple I’d have as many or more programs that wouldn’t operate on the Apple platform. What has been your experience in that realm?

I have been on and off Apple since elementary school. Bought my first one with my own money in college. I am a graphic designer so really there was no other option at the time. Windows was horrible for graphics (still is).
Windows OS has done their best to emulate mac in recent years so I am not sure you would have too many problems. Most of the shortcuts are the same.
I recently got my 70 year old mom to switch to an iMac and she has not had many problems at all and she is not that computer savvy (though she still likes her iPad better).
As far as just writing software not sure what you are looking for. I love pages and OMMWriter ( http://www.ommwriter.com/) But I know more graphic/photo software so maybe someone else could help you in the writing area.

Short answer: Apps.
Long answer: I’ve found that my top favorite apps for Windows went both ways, while many other apps I wanted to use were Mac only. Like video game counsels, it ultimately came down to software. In hindsight, I’ve grown to appreciate the quality of the hardware; and although the first week was rough, my workflow and native toolset is WAY better than it was before.
